Steve Hale

With over 40 years of experience in the access control and perimeter security business, Steven Hale has been at the helm of several industry related manufacturing and distribution companies. Starting in the fence industry, Steve learned from the bottom up and was instrumental in helping to develop industry standard guidelines early in the fencing industry, eventually landing as President of a large distribution company of access control and perimeter security products that spanned over twenty years before selling the company in 2019. During this time, Steve also cofounded The Housing Company, filling a niche for housings and pedestals in the parking and security industry. Continuing with his entrepreneurial spirit, Steve helped to develop and cofound an RFID company, eventually becoming President/CEO. After 10 successful years, Steve sold that company in 2023. He continues to be actively involved in The Housing Company.
Steve has three sons and currently lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his wife of 43 years. They love traveling the world together and enjoy time spent with family.

Doug and his business partner Steve co-founded The Housing Company in 2002 after a conversation regarding the absence of non-metallic Housings and the need/demand for them in the Parking, Perimeter Security and Gated Entry markets. It took a few short weeks to realize the additional need for a line of Gooseneck Pedestals/Stanchions made from US Steel in America. They both remain actively engaged in the business.
Doug has been involved in the Security and Parking industries for over 35 years and has founded and grown two successful RFID development companies in that time. He has also been involved in sales and marketing activities for multiple Access Control manufacturing and Parking Technology companies.
Doug currently lives in Northern California with his wife of 34 years and travels extensively to spend time with his children and grandchildren scattered across the country. Doug is a U.S. Army Veteran and can often be found on the ski slopes in the Western US.
